The exterior showcases undulating fabric-like folds beneath a fluted, gathered rim, cinched by a braided textile cord complete with turned wooden baubles and fringed tassels. On the face, the Chinese character for good fortune (Bok / Fu) is prominently carved in relief against a natural banded grain highlight that contrasts elegantly with the deep walnut finish. The reverse of the vessel features an authentic hand-inscribed presentation in Korean calligraphy commemorating an official unit visit on March 25, 1988, presented by Colonel Son Tae-jin, Provost Marshal of the Republic of Korea First Field Army Command. Fitted with a protective red felt base, this sculpture serves equally well as a standalone tabletop artifact, brush pot, or dry floral vessel for collectors of East Asian folk art and military history. This piece measures approximately 7.5 inches tall, 7.5 inches wide, and 7 inches deep, weighing approximately 2.4 pounds.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0679/4923/2285/files/vintage-korean-carved-wood-fortune-pouch-vase-1988-military-presentation_01.jpg?v=1792201300
https://patinaandprose.com/products/vintage-korean-carved-wood-fortune-pouch-vase-1988-military-presentation
