This monumental sommerso art glass vase is a stunning example of Mid-Century Murano craftsmanship, attributed to the renowned Vetreria Gino Cenedese. Standing 11.5 inches tall and weighing a substantial 12.5 pounds, this teardrop-form vessel features triple-cased "Sommerso" layering. A core of vibrant cerulean blue is encased in a layer of opaque white (lattimo) and translucent lime-green glass, all suspended within heavy, hand-polished crystal. The base features a large, flat-polished pontil mark characteristic of high-end Venetian production. Its massive scale and organic "Sasso" (stone) inspired form make it a formidable statement piece for any modernist interior. Excellent vintage condition with no chips or cracks.
